User Guide for INESM
1. Membership
Users gain access to all kinds of contents in the website such as the education simulation models (ESM), the related experiences of ESM application, the forum topics and the information on training courses and materials, without signing up. However, to share information by uploading ESM, posting forum topics and so on, users must sign up.
2. Registration
- To gain membership, click “Sign up” at the left side of the INESM webpage.
- Fill the form and click “Submit”. Then, you will receive an email containing your user name and a random password.
- Come back to the INESM website and sign in with your username and the password provided. 4) Once you are logged in, you can change your password by clicking on “My account” on the left side menu, then choosing “Edit” tab.
3. To Retrieve Your Password
If you forgot your password, you can acquire a new password by clicking on “Request new password” on the left side menu. You will be asked to provide your username or email address for receiving an email with a web link. Please click this link to enter your account and choose a new password.
4. To Upload Contents
If you are a registered member, you can upload contents by clicking on “Upload Contents”, which is on the left side menu. There are four types of contents you can upload. You can choose “ESM” for proposing an education simulation model, “ESM Experience” for uploading your experience of ESMs application, “Forum topic” to post a new discussion topic in the forum or to interact with other users and “Training Module” to announce a training course, module or information related to ESMs.
5. Explore
Under the “Explore” tab, you can search and download a specific education simulation model or a group of models, together with its description and user guide.
6. Share
The “Share” tab contains both “Forums” and “ESM Experiences”. Under Forums, you can share or obtain feedback on an ESM, find out about ESM technical specificities and applications, training opportunities, and exchange information with other ESM practitioners. ESM Experiences is where you can find practical experiences related to specific ESMs.
7. Learn
From the “Learn” tab, you can get the information about the training courses on ESMs organized by the institutions as well as the relevant training materials, if provided.
